• Family and caregivers can give you extra support when you keep them updated with your blood sugar results throughout the day. Parents love this feature – children using the Accu-Chek Connect system can send their results in seconds.

    To set up texting, tap the menu button » Settings, scroll down to Data Sharing and select Blood Glucose SMS Text.

  • To automatically send text messages, check Share recorded bGs via text.

    Touch OK in the pop-up box to confirm sharing.

    Tap From Contacts to choose text recipients from your phone’s saved contacts.

    To automatically generate text messages, ensure the blue circle next to Share recorded bGs via text is checked.

    Tap From Contacts to choose text recipients from your phone’s saved contacts.

    Android

    To automatically generate text messages, ensure the blue circle next to Share recorded bGs via text is checked.

    Note: If you send texts to a healthcare professional, include your name and date of birth so they will know which patient is sharing results. You can enter this information when you check the box.

    If you check "Include name and date of birth" and you haven't entered your contact information into the app, you will be prompted to enter your name, date of birth and e-mail. Tap each entry, enter your information, then tap Save.

  • The number you selected appears in the Recipients field. Tap Add Recipient to save.

    You can also type a number directly into the field and tap Add Recipient.

    Repeat to add up to 10 recipients.

  • Now, when blood sugar test results are transferred to the phone from the meter, the app will automatically text the results to the recipients selected.

    Don’t want to send a message this time? Tap Cancel in the upper right corner.

    Now, when blood sugar test results are transferred to the iPhone from the meter, the app will automatically create a text with the results and address it to the recipients selected. The message can be edited before tapping Send.

  • Any time you want to edit or delete recipients later, tap the menu button to return to Settings » Blood Glucose SMS Text. To edit, select a phone number, update it, and tap Save.

    To stop generating texts for a recipient, open the phone number, delete all the digits, and tap Save.

    You can also stop sharing by simply unchecking Share recorded bGs via text.
